Angela Vecchione
currently resides
in Middleboro. Angela
has been recognized locally, regionally, and
nationally as a force in fast pitch
softball, in both High School and College.
Angela, was a four year All Star at
Whitman-Hanson High School (1997). As a
senior she was awarded the Boston
Globe, Brockton Enterprise,
and Patriot Ledger All-Scholastic Awards. As
a four year starter at
Bridgewater State College (2001)
she twice helped
power her team to
World Series play while accumulating awards
such as BSC Female Athlete
of the Year (1998), ECAC Player of
the Year (1999), MASCAC Player of the Year
(1999 & 2001), and third team All-American
honors.
She holds records at
Bridgewater State for most career hits, most
triples in a season, career stolen bases,
and NCAA Division III record for career
triples. Angela was an assistant coach at
Wheaton College, and is currently the coach
of the AAU Bay State Thunder U12 Team.
